AttoCore Announces Availability Of AttoLCS Location Based Services

Functionality Enhances Capability of AttoEPC 4G mobile core software
Cambridge, UK, 14th January 2019 – AttoCore, the developer of ultra-mobile core network software technology, today announced the availability of AttoLCS, a major software enhancement to the AttoEPC product, which enables Location Based Services.
Developed to very high quality, AttoCore’s AttoEPC is an Enhanced Packet Core (EPC) suitable for deployment in a wide range of specialist 4G applications at the Network Edge. By embedding AttoEPC directly into the radio it is possible to create Network In A Box propositions for Public Safety and Emergency Service use. AttoEPC can also cost effectively address the Fixed Wireless Access (FWA) and Private Networks facilitated by the deployment of radios in the CBRS band.
AttoLCS is a value added software package which can be seamlessly deployed with AttoEPC. It enhances AttoEPC with the ability to detect, report and display location information for 4G User Equipment (UE) and base stations (eNodeB).
Location Based Services have significant application in 4G networks and are well proven in commercial environments. AttoCore’s AttoLCS expands the user base for these applications to include military and emergency service users. In a Network In A Box environment, AttoLCS will enable a user at a command and control centre, to know the locations of all of the military or emergency service personnel active on the network.
